Something feels off.
You know the room is not working, but you cannot identify what needs to change—or where to begin.
Room curation in Colorado and online
Where life, meaning and design intersect.
For people whose lives have changed—but whose rooms have not caught up.
White Bucket Designs is a founder-led room curation studio offering thoughtful interior design guidance in Colorado and online. WBD helps people create personal, meaningful rooms by starting with what they already own. We uncover the room’s story and add only what makes it more meaningful.
Does this feel familiar?
A room can feel crowded, unfinished or disconnected long before you know why. We help you see what is working, what is getting in the way and what will make the greatest difference.
You know the room is not working, but you cannot identify what needs to change—or where to begin.
The answer may not be more. It may be a clearer relationship between what you already own.
Your possessions hold meaning. We help reveal the connections between them and give each piece a more intentional place.
The way you live, work or gather has evolved. Your room should support the life happening inside it now.
When home needs to catch up
A move, a new rhythm or a meaningful collection can change what a room needs to hold. We help you carry the story forward while making space for what comes next.
Decide what belongs, where it should live and what the new space truly needs—before filling it with more.
Bring two collections, histories and ways of living together without erasing either person’s story.
Give familiar rooms a new purpose that reflects how you want to live in the years ahead.
Shape your home around new rhythms of comfort, creativity, connection and time.
Carry the meaning of your life forward while letting go of the volume, clutter and obligation.
Honor the objects and stories that matter without allowing them to overwhelm your home.
What is changing in your life or home?
Meaning before more
We decide what should stay, reposition what has been overlooked and add only what makes a meaningful difference.
Fewer uncertain decisions. Fewer unnecessary purchases. More meaning, clarity and ease.

From real rooms

A method shaped by care.
Our process turns a room full of history, needs and possibilities into fewer, better decisions. You experience the clarity; we hold the complexity.
What is getting in the way?
We look closely, listen carefully and clear the assumptions that keep the room from becoming what it needs to be.
What must this room hold?
We uncover the people, rituals, memories and future changes the room should support—then define one clear purpose for the work.
What makes life easier?
Before anything new enters, we resolve how the room should flow, function, gather, store, illuminate and breathe.
What deserves to enter?
We compose what you own with carefully chosen materials, art and additions. Every element must contribute something real.
Does it work in real life?
A room is not finished at the reveal. We return after you have lived with it, listen to what the room teaches us and make the final edit.
Every room enters the process differently. Four thoughtful questions can reveal the clearest place to begin.

Every engagement builds on the same thoughtful method. The difference is how far we carry the work—from focused clarity to a plan you execute, complete curation or full realization.

Request a fit callAdvice, clarity and priorities
A focused consultation for a room that feels stuck. We study how it is used, edit what you own and identify the decisions that matter most. You leave knowing what to keep, move, remove and address first.
Clarity and priorities—not a complete room plan.
A clear direction you can execute
We translate the room’s needs into an actionable direction for purpose, layout, color, materials and key additions. You receive a prioritized roadmap, then manage sourcing, purchasing and implementation yourself.
We create the direction. You bring it to life.
Complete founder-led room curation
Ian and Katerina shape the room as one coherent composition—editing what you own and resolving layout, palette, lighting, art, objects and carefully chosen additions. We lead the creative decisions and present one integrated room story.
Full creative direction without implementation management.
Curation carried through completion
We take the Curated Room from recommendation to reality, managing purchasing, coordination, delivery and final styling. After you have lived with the room, we return for the final edit.
Creative direction plus execution.
A connected story across multiple rooms
For two or more rooms that need to work together. We establish a whole-home point of view, set priorities and curate connected spaces in a thoughtful sequence—whether completed together or in phases.
A custom, multi-room progression.

Four quick questions. One thoughtful place to begin.
The Room Story
We pay attention to what stayed, what changed and what the room reveals after you live in it. The goal is not a perfect reveal. It is a room that supports coffee, music, work, conversation and quiet—with fewer pieces that have more to say.
Two makers. Many influences. One shared eye.
Ian + Katerina Woods Principals
White Bucket Designs grew from the creative life we have built together—painting and drawing, living through music, cooking and gathering, and collecting unusual objects that carry stories. Ian was raised in Brasil by Scottish parents and studied graphic design; Katerina was raised in Miami by Cuban parents and studied interior design. Those histories meet in a shared instinct for warmth and restraint, usefulness and soul.

We believe home is not defined by an address, a style or square footage. It is the feeling of being surrounded by things that reflect your history, your personality and the life you want to live.
Begin your room
A few thoughtful details help us understand the room, the life around it and the right way to begin.
We work from Colorado, welcome remote projects and can collaborate in English, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese.
