This Privacy Policy explains how White Bucket Designs (“White Bucket,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information through whitebucketdesigns.com, email communications and related inquiries. Client projects may also be governed by a separate agreement.
1. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Contact information, such as your name and email address.
- Inquiry and project information, such as your location, room type, photographs or descriptions you choose to send, life or household changes relevant to the room, preferred service and communications with us.
- Newsletter information, such as your email address, subscription status and engagement information provided by our newsletter service when that service is active.
- Technical information that our hosting, security or communications providers may collect automatically, such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location and security logs.
This website does not currently collect payment-card information. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account information, health information or other sensitive personal information through the inquiry form or ordinary email.
2. How the inquiry form works
The inquiry form prepares a draft message in your device’s email application. The information is not sent to White Bucket Designs until you review and send that email. Once sent, your email provider and ours process the message under their own terms and privacy practices.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; evaluate project fit; prepare proposals; provide and improve services; manage client and vendor relationships; send communications you request; operate, secure and troubleshoot the website; maintain business records; protect our rights; and comply with law.
4. When we disclose information
We may disclose relevant information to service providers that support website hosting, email, newsletters, scheduling, file storage, business operations or security; to professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants and insurers; to vendors or trades when you authorize or reasonably expect that coordination; in connection with a business reorganization or transfer; or when required to comply with law, protect safety or enforce our rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our hosting and security providers may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to deliver, protect and measure the website. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the Site and which content and calls to action are most useful. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, browser and device information, and interactions such as room-quiz activity, Fit Call interest, newsletter signups, client-portal visits and outbound-link clicks. We do not send Google the names, email addresses, phone numbers, room descriptions or other content visitors enter into our forms. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our implementation. Google processes analytics information under its Privacy Policy.
We also use the Pinterest Tag, a tracking technology provided by Pinterest, to understand visits and actions on the Site, measure the effectiveness of our marketing and help us reach people who may be interested in White Bucket Designs.
The Pinterest Tag may collect or receive information such as the page visited, browser and device information, IP address, cookie or advertising identifiers and interactions with the Site. We do not send Pinterest an email address through the base tag. Pinterest processes information under its own Privacy Policy. You can limit cookies through your browser settings and manage personalization through your Google or Pinterest account settings. Blocking cookies may affect some Site features.
Links or embedded services operated by others—including a future newsletter, scheduling platform or social network—are governed by those providers’ privacy practices.
6. Email and newsletter choices
If you subscribe, we may send occasional White Bucket Designs emails. You may unsubscribe through the link in an email or contact us. Transactional or project-related messages may still be sent when needed to respond to you or perform an agreement.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to respond to an inquiry, perform a project, maintain records, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax or insurance obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing. Colorado residents may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including rights to confirm processing and, when applicable, opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of the Pinterest Tag may qualify as targeted advertising or a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws.
To request access, correction or deletion, or to opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing associated with our Site, email hello@whitebucketdesigns.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request. You may also limit cookies through your browser and Pinterest settings. We may need to verify your identity and may deny or limit a request where law permits. If applicable law provides a right to appeal, reply to our decision with “Privacy Appeal.”
9. Children
The website and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.
